Meet the Team

Matthew Erickson

Matthew P. Erickson is a litigation associate in the Austin office. He represents clients in a variety of complex litigation matters with a focus on critical motions practice and appellate proceedings.

Before joining Baker Botts, Matthew clerked for Judge Don R. Willett of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and Judge Gene E.K. Pratter of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Matthew Hilderbrand

Matt Hilderbrand is a Litigation associate in Baker Botts' Austin office.

Before joining Baker Botts, Matt was a litigation associate at another large international law firm, where he worked on a variety of complex matters in state and federal courts across the nation, including class-action and antitrust cases, contract disputes, administrative challenges, Fair Credit Reporting Act cases, and litigation involving residential mortgage-backed securities. His prior experience includes presenting oral argument; researching and drafting pleadings, motions, memoranda, and briefs; and managing discovery in both small and complex lawsuits.

Matt clerked for Judge Don R. Willett on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit; Judge Allison J. Rushing on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit; and Judge E. Grady Jolly on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Beau Carter

Beau Carter is a litigation associate in the Houston office of Baker Botts. He represents clients in a variety of complex litigation matters with a focus on appeals and critical motions. Beau has briefed and argued appeals in both state and federal court.
